Candy Cane Christmas Party

We decided to have a few of my husband's co-workers over for a casual Christmas Party a few weeks ago and my favorite part was getting the dessert table ready.  I hung red and white tissue paper balls from feather boas, and wrapped them around the table instead of a table cloth.  (I like to show off my table because I painted and distressed it myself a few months back.)

The Sweet Treats signage and the labels were printables from Shindig Parties .
I edited them a little to add more blue than green that was orginally on the printables.

I had popcorn in glass vases and in Target Dollar Spot popcorn holders. (We had our movie projector in the boys bedroom showing Christmas Shows on their wall).  I haven't made Rice Crispe Treats in FOREVER...so I was excited about making these.  I put them on lollipop sticks and dipped them in white chocolate and then spinkled red sugar crystals all over them. YUM! We had a few store bought items on the table that went well with the red and white theme as well.  Hershey's candy cane kisses, peppermint puffs, and gingerbreadmen cookies were all on our dessert table.

I made white chocolate dipped marshmallows with either candy cane sprinkled on them or just plain red sugar crystals for those that do not like peppermint (like my youngest son).  I made 3 types of cake balls for this party.  I made chocolate, red velvet, and pumpkin spice cake balls.  I also made chocolate dipped pretzels in milk chocolate and some in white chocolate.  White chocolate dipped spoons with sprinkled candy cane pieces for the hot chocolate or Bailey's coffee.

These cookies were Oreos dipped in white chocolate and I sprinkled crushed candy canes over them.  I was excited to find the Winter/Holiday Oreos and the filling was RED!  It was a nice festive surprise when you bit into the Oreos.

All in all I was quite pleased with my Candy Cane Themed Dessert Table :)
